Thank you for your interest in submitting to The Swannanoa Review. We eagerly accept submissions from writers of all backgrounds and experiences. 

We primarily seek original, unpublished poetry and fiction, including translation. We are also open to craft essays and interviews with writers, but would like to work with you on shaping this work: please email theswannanoareview@gmail.com with pitches. 

For all submissions, please use a legible font and submit in a .doc or .docx file. PDFs are okay if you need to preserve specific formatting. Please remove your name or other identifying information from both the file name and the included pages.  

If you are submitting a work of translation, please confirm in your cover letter that you have obtained permission, either from author or rights holder, to publish the original work alongside your translation.

For poetry: please submit 3-5 poems.

For fiction (short stories and flash fiction) and creative nonfiction: please submit no more than 15 pages of prose.
